Planning permission has been lodged for the redevelopment of Dalymount Park.
Dublin City Council has formally lodged the Part 8 Planning Application for the Dalymount Park Redevelopment Project. Initial works have already gone ahead at the park, including the demolition of Connaught Street Stand.
The design and planning elements of the project have received funding from The Department of Tourism. The redeveloped stadium could likely be completed by 2027 but further financial support is needed.

New stands seating approximately 6,240 fans are also proposed. A public thoroughfare dotted with eateries will connect North Circular Road and Connaught St along the stadium's eastern boundary.
Chief Operating Officer of Bohemian FC Daniel Lambert said: "Bohemian FC is delighted to mark this hugely significant day. Dalymount Park has hosted thousands of football games, enjoyed by millions of supporters, continuously since 1901, while also being an integral part of the general sporting, cultural and societal fabric of Dublin City. It has, however, long passed its capability to provide an appropriate, safe and modern facility for football and community use.”
It is expected the new planning permission will be approved in February 2024. Cllr de Roiste also highlighted the need for future funding in order to facilitate the park's redesign.
